Fairytale

Hi guys!
I'm SO excited to share a few behind-the-scenes pictures from a styled bridal shoot I had over the weekend with you guys!  I collaborated with a great team of artists and models, and the results are going to be absolutely stunning!  So stay tuned for pics that weren't taken from my iPhone! 😅

Not a bad work station.  That view 😍
Using my Favorite Kenra Products of course.  Linked below!↓↓

The whole day was a dream, and it was such an amazing experience working with this amazing group.  A thousand and one thanks to everyone to dedicated your day to create this fairytale shoot.  {Don't worry!  I will link all vendors below! 😉}

This twisted, low bun was perfectly classic and sophisticated.  I couldn't help but to think this look gave off Cinderella vibes.

This was probably one of my favorite hair looks from the day.  Going with a 'gatspy' theme, I gave her soft brushed out curls, tightly pinned back with rhinestone hair pins, and a deep hair part. *swoon*

Probably one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen, this house, built to evoke the feel of a 1800's plantation home, had a luxurious, romantic mood.  It was truly captivating as the sun was setting and dusk settled.  I felt like I was in a haunted, dreamy, storybook surrounded by beautiful models in beautiful wedding gowns.  I could go on and on!

my outfit details:
This Manteau checkered tank has been a fave in my closet for a few years now.  But I love this one by Kate Spade *on sale now*, and this more affordable option!
Tony Bianco lace up sandals (I DIE for these Monolo Blahnik suede heels.. a girl can dream right??)
This book bag was a recent clearance buy from tjmaxx, but I've got my eye on this black leather one, this gold mini book bag by Aldo, and this blush pink faux leather one!

Why You Should Shave Your Face

Yup.
You read that title right.
Today's topic may seem a little strange, but I am seriously obsessed with this 'secret' beauty trick!  I wish I could take credit for it, but it's actually been around for a while! In fact, Kate Somerville, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, and Cleopatra all vouched for face shaving.

I know what you're thinking and, no, your hair won't grow back dark and thick.  You won't grow a beard.  The hair on your face is vellus hair- short, thin, and usually lighter than the hair on your head. So no worries, it grows back the same! :)
Shaving your face is actually so beneficial.
It makes your makeup application a breeze.  It gives your skin a glow and in turn helps products absorb into the skin.  Not kidding guys.  You no longer have to worry about your powder getting all in those mustache hairs. AMEN!  Your makeup just melts right into your skin, making it a more flawless finish.

It's exfoliating.  Making it an anti-aging treatment.  Think about it, why do you think men look so youthful as they age?  They shave the majority of their lives.  This fact alone made me try it ASAP.  I'm a sucker for anything anti-aging!

Now lets get into it!
It's pretty basic and simple.  You'll need: a single blade razor (simpler the better), or these Touch 'N Brow razors from Sally Beauty Supply.  That's IT.  Start with a freshly cleansed face.  Pull the skin taut, then shave downwards on your skin in short strokes.  Also, hold the razor at a 45-degree angle.  Don't freak when it looks like you skinned a lamb, you'll be shocked at how much hair you have on your face!

**Tip if you decide to use a razor.  After you wash your face, apply a thin layer of (organic) coconut oil or facial oil to your face before you shave.  You don't want to cut yourself!**

I shave my whole face; jawline, upper lip, under my chin, cheeks,  and my forehead.  You won't be able to stop touching your face because it will be sooooo smooth!!
Next, don't forget to cleanse (again), and apply a moisturizer.  You don't want your face to get dry!
**Since I'm not loving a moisturizer right now, I've actually been rotating out the ItWorks Defining Gel and the Stretch Mark Cream.  Love.

I am ADDICTED to this and do it about once a week, I actually look forward to it now!!
Don't be scared, give it a try! I'm sure you'll be just as hooked as me!

What's your favorite anti-aging 'secret'?  I'd LOVE to know!!
Thank you so much for supporting me, and giving a hoot about what I have to say :)
Have a great weekend guys.

Fringe Love

Monday, we meet again.
Since my husbands birthday last week (yay!)  we've been on the go and pretty busy (eating out every night).  I overslept Sunday morning, so I went to my go to- all black of course.  Who am I kidding, when is all black not a go to?  Wait, when do I not oversleep? LOL
I really love this J.Crew fringe tank top.  Simple, but not because hello FRINGE.
Since it was a little chilly I layered this simple black tee underneath and grabbed this warm, wool coat.
I slipped on these super cute and bright floral pumps to add a little color.  Thank you husband for picking them out :)

details:
J.Crew fringe tank top- my exact one is sold out :( - here's another option for a fringe top
Thread and Supply button up coat
Ivanka Trump floral heels- these and these are similar!
vintage jewelry, all except my trusty Fossil watch

Thanks for reading :)

Wedding

I LOVE weddings.
It's such a special and magical day, and since my wedding I love them even more!  I'm so thankful I was able to make a last minute trip back home to see a dear friend of mine get married.  It was such a sweet ceremony, and she was a stunning bride!
Picked up -literally hours before my flight- this adorable ruffle Cynthia Rowley dress. (I couldn't find my exact one, but linked similar ones below)  You can't go wrong with a basic LBD.
I just love these simple two strap Steve Madden heels in gold glitter. They were the ones I wore on my wedding day and I'm pretty sure I've worn them to every wedding I've been to since!  I really need to invest in a new clutch.. this one by BCBG is my only one and is like 5 years old.  Like I need more excuses to go shopping..
Since my husband had to work and couldn't come with me, I went with my best friend and her boyfriend. *third wheelin it*
I've been busy working since I landed Saturday morning.
Now I'm going to nap with my hubby!

details:
most of my jewelry is from my great grandmothers (I love vintage jewelry so much), all but this Michael Kors crystal bangle, this knot bracelet, the watch and my necklace.
I don't remember where I got this choker, but I love this and this one.

MESSY CURLY HAIR TUTORIAL

What's up guys!
Happy hump day!
I finally got over myself and filmed a hair tutorial for you guys. :)
This is a daily go to for me when I'm working and styling my clients hair.  It's quick, easy, and you'll leave lookin like a VS model.. who wouldn't want that!?
I'm actually the worst when it comes to styling my own hair.  My everyday look is a ponytail or a bun.  On occasion, if I do style my hair, this is what I do!

I'll link all the products I used below!

Details:
The top I'm wearing is Rue21 (clearance find) here's another one that's similar
not shown, Kenra working spray

I wish this post was sponsored... *a girl can dream*
